Step. and GO! Turn your challenges into concrete actions.

Step and Go launches its international initiative to scale up impact-driven projects

For over thirty years, an idea has been growing and taking root: learning through action, acting through learning.
This founding principle, embodied within the 2% for the Future ecosystem and the Objectif Sciences International (OSI) programs, is now entering a new phase with the operational launch of Step and Go, an immersive training platform dedicated to ecological, social, and economic transformation.

An Initiative Born from Experience and Practice

Since 1992, the founding teams of Objectif Sciences International and the Geneva Forum have supported more than 2,000 participants in the creation, management, and consolidation of impact-driven projects.
Building on this experience, they launched Step and Go to make a proven approach widely accessible: learning through practice, on real-world projects.

Each training course becomes a space for experimentation and action, where participants learn by contributing to concrete projects—whether social, environmental, scientific, or entrepreneurial in nature.
The objective: not only to acquire skills, but also to bring to life, strengthen, or transform projects that truly change the world.

Training for Development: Train to Develop, Develop to Transform

Under the international brand Training for Development, Step and Go offers a unique educational model: experiential and inclusive learning, focused on the practical application of knowledge through the creation of real projects serving the common good, while also generating employment and wealth.
Participants don’t just attend training—they join a living ecosystem where theory and practice mutually reinforce one another.

  • Project leaders come to structure and grow their initiatives.
  • Professionals explore new leadership styles and shared governance.
  • Organizations enhance their efficiency and impact through customized training.
  • Engaged citizens gain tools to contribute to local and global transitions.

Step and Go is not just a training provider—it is a catalyst for human and systemic transformation.

Training in the Field of Transitions

Step and Go’s training programs are structured around key areas of expertise:

  • Education and Didactics
  • Leadership and Facilitation
  • Shared Governance and Collective Intelligence
  • Social Innovation and Systemic Design
  • Regenerative, Circular, and Low-Tech Economy
  • Ethical Finance and Impact Investing
  • Climate Resilience and Ecological Adaptation
  • Creativity, Advocacy, and Diversity
  • Health, Wellbeing, and Resilience
  • Citizen Science and Open Science

Each theme is offered as a progressive learning path, from short modules to full certification, combining in-person training, immersive field experiences, e-learning, and training hackathons.
This Learn by Doing, Lead by Being model is based on a simple conviction: skills are sustainably acquired only when put in service of a real-world project.

A Long-Term Vision: Building Bridges Between People, Organizations, and the Planet

Step and Go aligns with an ambitious vision: a world where education, the economy, and sustainable development move forward together.
Its mission operates on three levels:

For Individuals

  • Develop skills, confidence, and autonomy.
  • Empower people to act and transform their environments.
  • Offer meaningful, recognized, and rewarding certifications.

For Organizations

  • Support businesses, NGOs, foundations, local authorities, and governments in their transitions.
  • Strengthen efficiency, governance, resilience, and innovation capacity.
  • Integrate sustainability at the heart of practices and business models.

For Society

  • Encourage active and responsible citizenship.
  • Stimulate cross-sector cooperation and impactful public-private partnerships.
  • Contribute to the creation of a regenerative, inclusive, and resilient economy.

A Catalyst for Impact Projects Within the 2% for the Future Ecosystem

Step and Go operates as the training arm of the 2% for the Future ecosystem, bringing together the initiatives of its partner organizations:

  • Objectif Sciences International, for scientific training and impactful educational travel.
  • Donner et Agir, for capacity-building in participatory volunteering.
  • Geneva Foundation for the Future, for ethical finance and impact measurement training.
  • Geneva Forum, for building win-win partnerships and deploying impact business strategies.
  • Terra Scientifica, for experiential learning trips and educational tourism that mobilize the public to become field actors.

This collaborative approach allows Step and Go to distribute partner training programs and co-create new, tailor-made offerings.
An external partner may offer its modules through Step and Go’s Qualiopi-certified framework, while an international foundation can develop its own training in impact finance.

From Training to Action: A Springboard to Realization

Each participant is invited to join, transform, or create an impact project through one of three pathways:

  • Join an existing impact project to learn by contributing to a real initiative.
  • Transform an existing business into an impact-oriented one by accompanying its ecological or social transition.
  • Create a new impact project and move from idea to implementation, with the support of a mentor and a community.

Some training programs serve as genuine springboards, enabling an individual, team, or organization to take a decisive step toward autonomy, resilience, and viability.

An Internationally Renowned Team

The Step and Go team includes trainers from diverse backgrounds—researchers, facilitators, social entrepreneurs, education and collaborative governance experts.
Among them: Michèle WACHS, Anne OUVRARD, Dominique ANDREANI, Chloé LAROSE, Thomas EGLI, and a team of committed experts.
Their diverse expertise reflects the program’s cross-disciplinary nature: bringing skills together to better pass them on.

A Model of Exemplary and Participatory Governance

Step and Go embodies what it teaches through its own structure:

  • shared and transparent governance,
  • a regenerative economy that reinvests its surplus into training access,
  • an open partnership dynamic for all organizations that share an ethic of cooperation and impact.

Global Ambition, Local Roots

Step and Go’s training programs are offered in major international languages and are accessible across Europe, Africa, and within UN institutions.
They are tailored to each region, with a consistent standard: making training accessible, relevant, and transformative.

The Step and Go initiative is designed to scale progressively:

  • onboarding new certified trainers,
  • integrating hybrid learning pathways,
  • expanding co-branded programs with partners.

An Invitation to Join the Movement

In 2025, Step and Go positions itself as a key global driver of skill-building for the transition, at the crossroads of education, economy, and cooperation.

Its call is simple: train to transform, act to learn, cooperate to last.
